Vietnam's textile and garment exports increased significantly in the first four months

Vietnam's major categories of textile and garment products import and export volume to achieve a rebound growth. Since 2022, driven by the strong rebound in manufacturing, Vietnam's textile and clothing exports have achieved substantial growth. Vietnam's customs data show that from January to April, Vietnam's exports of yarn, other textiles and clothing to the world totaled US $13.77 billion billion, an increase of 21.4 percent over the same period last year. Among them, the export value of yarn was 1.94 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 14.9; the total export value of other textiles and clothing was 11.83 billion US dollars, a significant year-on-year increase of 22.2. The continued recovery of overseas terminal demand led to the accelerated recovery of Vietnam's textile supply chain, and the demand for textile raw materials and finished products rebounded significantly. From January to April, Vietnam imported cotton, yarn and fabric from the world totaling 7.17 billion US dollars, up 14.4 percent year on year. Among them, the import value of cotton, yarn and fabric was 1.22 billion US dollars, 0.9 billion US dollars and 5.05 billion US dollars respectively, up 22.2 percent, 3.4 percent and 14.8 percent respectively.
