China's textile and clothing exports resume growth in October

The China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Textiles released the "October 2019 National Textile and Apparel Export Express" on the 8th, saying that in October, in terms of RMB, driven by textiles, China's overall textile and apparel exports resumed growth.

Since 2019, the lack of demand power in the international market, the intensification of trade protectionism, and the increasingly fierce competition in the global market have led to increased pressure on China's textile and apparel exports.

In October, China's textile and clothing exports were 161.55 billion yuan, up 1.2 percent from a year earlier. Among them, textile exports were 71.73 billion billion yuan, up 7.3 percent year-on-year, while clothing exports were 89.82 billion billion yuan, down 3.2 percent year-on-year.
