At the press conference of the second CIIE held on November 2, Xu Kunlin, the deputy mayor of Shanghai, said that at present, the city's security work is ready, including more optimized transportation organization, better meeting services, and guest reception. More thoughtful, stronger urban atmosphere, and stronger driving effect.

Many "unusual"

This is an expo with many "unusual"-larger exhibition area, more participating countries and regions and companies, richer products, larger buyers, and more diverse docking methods.

According to official data, the total area of the national exhibition and enterprise exhibition of the second Expo increased from 300000 square meters to 360000 square meters.

Among them, more than 1/3 countries have made new appearances in the national exhibition. Among the 64 participating countries, 24 countries have made their debut for the first time except China, and 39 countries have participated in the exhibition again, covering five continents.

The total exhibition area of the enterprise business exhibition is 330000 square meters, and more than 3000 enterprises from more than 150 countries and regions have signed contracts to participate in the exhibition.

The top ten countries and regions with exhibition area are the United States, Japan, Germany, Hong Kong, South Korea, Italy, France, Australia, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Ren Hongbin, Assistant Minister of Commerce and Deputy Director of the Office of the Organizing Committee of the China International Import Expo, revealed that the number of American companies participating in this CIIE reached 192, an increase of 18% over last year; the exhibition area reached 47500 square meters, which was more than 20000 square meters last year. Compared with this, it has increased significantly, ranking first in all countries. Many American Fortune 500 companies and senior executives of multinational companies will personally lead the exhibition.

In terms of enterprises, the number of exhibitors of the world's top 500 and leading enterprises in the industry, as well as the quantity and quality of new products and new technologies will obviously exceed that of the first one. The single area of the exhibition has expanded from an average of 74 square meters per company last year to nearly 90 square meters this year. At the same time, the average proportion of special outfits in corporate business exhibitions reached 93%, an increase of 3 percentage points from the first one, and the proportion of special outfits in the auto exhibition area was as high as 99%.

Nearly 200 tons of gantry mills, coin-sized pacemakers, and New Zealand milk in 3 days... Behind the "unusual" products are exhibitors' expectations and confidence in the strong demand brought about by China's high-quality development trends and consumption upgrades.

This year's buyers will also be larger, with more than 500000 domestic and foreign professional visitors registered, much more than the first.

Ren Hongbin said that the buyers of this year's CIIE are highly professional and cover all walks of life. The most concerned exhibition areas are equipment, scientific and technological life, food and agricultural products. Overseas buyers grew rapidly, with about 3500-3600 last year and more than 7000 this year. Among domestic enterprises, small and medium-sized private enterprises account for 67%.

In addition, from November 6th to 8th during the second CIIE, a large-scale supply and demand matchmaking meeting will be held to provide exhibitors and buyers with an accurate matchmaking platform.

Compared with the first Expo, this year's supply and demand docking will be further expanded, and the docking methods will be more diversified. For example, this year's supply and demand docking meeting will set up a video docking area for the first time to connect eight cities in China, and enterprises and purchasers who cannot reach the scene can carry out remote docking.

As an important part of the Expo, the connotation of the second Hongqiao International Economic Forum will also be richer, from the first economic and trade topics to economic topics, and the number of sub-forums will be increased from 4 to 5, the topics are "openness, rules and business environment", "artificial intelligence and innovative development", "WTO reform and free trade agreement", "digital age and e-commerce innovation and development" and "70 years of China's development and human destiny community". At that time, it is expected that more than 4000 representatives of political, business, academic and international organizations will attend the meeting to make suggestions and suggestions for the revitalization of the world economy.
