In the first eight months of this year, China's foreign trade imports and exports increased by 3.6

According to customs statistics, in the first eight months of this year, the total value of my country's import and export of goods trade was 20.13 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.6 over the same period last year (the same below). Among them, exports were 10.95 trillion yuan, up 6.1 percent; imports were 9.18 trillion yuan, up 0.8 percent; and the trade surplus was 1.77 trillion yuan, up 46 percent.

According to customs statistics, in the first eight months of this year, the total value of my country's import and export of goods trade was 20.13 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.6 over the same period last year (the same below). Among them, exports were 10.95 trillion yuan, up 6.1 percent; imports were 9.18 trillion yuan, up 0.8 percent; and the trade surplus was 1.77 trillion yuan, up 46 percent.

In August, China's total import and export value of 2.72 trillion yuan, an increase of 0.1. Among them, exports were 1.48 trillion yuan, up 2.6 percent; imports were 1.24 trillion yuan, down 2.6 percent; and the trade surplus was 239.6 billion yuan, up 41.8 percent.

In US dollar terms, in the first eight months, China's total import and export value was 2.95 trillion US dollars, down 2%. Of this total, exports were $1.6 trillion, up 0.4 per cent; imports were $1.35 trillion, down 4.6 per cent; and the trade surplus was $259.27 billion, up 37.1 per cent.

In August, the total value of China's imports and exports was 394.76 billion billion US dollars, down 3.2 per cent. Of this total, exports were $214.8 billion, down 1 per cent; imports were $179.96 billion, down 5.6 per cent; and the trade surplus was $34.84 billion, an increase of 32.5 per cent.

In the first eight months, China's foreign trade import and export mainly showed the following characteristics:

1. general trade grew and increased its share. In the first eight months, my country's general trade imports and exports totaled 12.03 trillion billion yuan, an increase of 5.4 percent, accounting for 59.8 percent of China's total foreign trade value, an increase of 1 percentage point over the same period last year. Among them, exports were 6.44 trillion yuan, up 9.4 percent; imports were 5.59 trillion yuan, up 1 percent; and the trade surplus was 849.49 billion yuan, up 1.4 times. In the same period, the import and export of processing trade was 5.02 trillion yuan, down 3.3 percent, accounting for 24.9 percent, or 1.8 percentage points. Among them, exports were 3.18 trillion yuan, down 1.6 percent; imports were 1.84 trillion yuan, down 5.9 percent; and the trade surplus was 1.34 trillion yuan, up 4.9 percent.

In addition, China's import and export of 2.31 trillion yuan in the form of bonded logistics increased by 9.9, accounting for 11.5 of China's total foreign trade value. Among them, exports were 767.97 billion yuan, up 14%. Imports 1.55 trillion yuan, up 8%.

2. imports and exports to major markets such as the European Union, ASEAN and Japan increased, and imports and exports to countries along the "Belt and Road" grew faster than the overall. In the first eight months, the EU was China's largest trading partner, with a total trade value of 3.15 trillion billion yuan, an increase of 9.7 percent, accounting for 15.6 percent of China's total foreign trade value. Among them, exports to the EU were 1.9 trillion yuan, an increase of 11.8 percent; imports from the EU were 1.25 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.7 percent; and the trade surplus with Europe was 659.79 billion yuan, an increase of 22.9 percent. ASEAN is China's second largest trading partner, with a total trade value of 2.74 trillion billion yuan, an increase of 11.7 percent, accounting for 13.6 percent of China's total foreign trade value. Among them, exports to ASEAN were 1.53 trillion yuan, an increase of 15.7 percent; imports from ASEAN were 1.21 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.9 percent; and the trade surplus with ASEAN was 329.5 billion yuan, an increase of 65.4 percent.

The United States is my country's third largest trading partner. The total value of Sino-US trade was 2.42 trillion yuan, a decrease of 9%, accounting for 12% of my total foreign trade value. Among them, exports to the United States were 1.88 trillion yuan, down 3.7 percent; imports from the United States were 545.01 billion yuan, down 23.5 percent; and the trade surplus with the United States was 1.33 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.7 percent. Japan is my country's fourth largest trading partner. The total value of Sino-Japanese trade was 1.39 trillion billion yuan, an increase of 0.7 percent, accounting for 6.9 percent of my country's total foreign trade value. Among them, exports to Japan were 635.81 billion yuan, up 4.7 percent; imports from Japan were 752.23 billion yuan, down 2.4 percent; and the trade deficit with Japan was 116.42 billion yuan, narrowing 28.8 percent. In the same period, my country's total imports and exports to countries along the "Belt and Road" totaled 5.83 trillion billion yuan, an increase of 9.9 percent, which was 6.3 percentage points higher than the overall national growth rate, accounting for 29% of my country's total foreign trade value, and the proportion increased by 1.7 percentage points.

The import and export of 3. private enterprises increased rapidly, and their proportion increased. In the first eight months, the import and export of private enterprises totaled 8.49 trillion billion yuan, an increase of 11.2 percent, accounting for 42.2 percent of China's total foreign trade value, an increase of 2.9 percentage points over the same period last year. Among them, exports were 5.61 trillion billion yuan, up 13.7 percent, accounting for 51.2 percent of the total export value; imports were 2.88 trillion billion yuan, up 6.6 percent, accounting for 31.3 percent of the total import value. During the same period, the import and export of foreign-invested enterprises was 8.09 trillion yuan, down 1.8 percent, accounting for 40.2 percent of China's total foreign trade value. Among them, exports were 4.27 trillion yuan, up 0.2 percent, while imports were 3.82 trillion yuan, down 3.9 percent.

In addition, the import and export of state-owned enterprises 3.48 trillion yuan, down 0.1 percent, accounting for 17.3 percent of China's total foreign trade value. Among them, exports of 1.06 trillion yuan, down 5.4; imports of 2.42 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.5.

4. exports of mechanical and electrical products and labor-intensive products maintained growth. In the first eight months, China's exports of mechanical and electrical products totaled 6.34 trillion billion yuan, an increase of 5.6 percent, accounting for 57.9 percent of the total export value. Among them, electrical and electronic products exports 2.83 trillion yuan, an increase of 7%; machinery and equipment 1.87 trillion yuan, an increase of 3.3. In the same period, clothing exports were 669.24 billion yuan, up 1.2 percent; textiles were 541.01 billion yuan, up 6.8 percent; furniture was 239.96 billion yuan, up 8.1 percent; footwear was 215.51 billion yuan, up 6.4 percent; plastic products were 211.31 billion yuan, up 18.2 percent; toys were 129.3 billion yuan, up 33.7 percent; luggage was 120.6 billion yuan, up 5.6 percent; and the total export of the seven categories of labor-intensive products was 2.13 trillion yuan, up 7.3 percent, 19.4 per cent of total exports. In addition, steel exports 44.97 million tons, a decrease of 4.4; 790000 cars, an increase of 4%.

5. imports of crude oil, coal, natural gas and other commodities increased, imports of iron ore and soybeans decreased, and the average import prices of bulk commodities rose and fell. In the first eight months, my country imported 0.685 billion tons of iron ore, a decrease of 3.5 percent, and the average import price was 644.3 yuan per ton, an increase of 43.3 percent; crude oil 0.328 billion tons, an increase of 9.6 percent, and the average import price was 3285.7 yuan per ton, a decrease of 0.1 percent; coal 0.22 billion tons, an increase of 8.1 percent, and the average import price was 537.6 yuan per ton, a decrease of 6.2 percent; natural gas 63.04 million tons, an increase of 10.3 percent, the average import price was 2988.4 yuan per ton, up 15.7 per cent; 56.32 million tons of soybeans, down 9.2 per cent; the average import price was 2731.9 yuan per ton, down 1.7 per cent; 23.99 million tons of primary plastic, up 11.1 per cent; the average import price was 10000 yuan per ton, down 11 per cent; 20.49 million tons of refined oil, down 6.3 per cent; the average import price was 3790.4 yuan per ton, down 0.6 per cent; 7.64 million tons of steel, by 12.8 per cent, the average import price was 8172.8 yuan per ton, up 0.6 per cent, and 3.09 million tons of unwrought copper and copper, down 10.8 per cent, while the average import price was 45400 yuan per ton, down 3.5 per cent.

In addition, imports of mechanical and electrical products 3.96 trillion yuan, down 3.1. Among them, 271.94 billion integrated circuits, down 3.8 percent, 1.31 trillion yuan in value, down 0.8 percent; 700000 cars, down 10.8 percent, 218.06 billion yuan in value, down 4.6 percent.
