From August 28 to 30, the 26th (2019) Annual Meeting of China Spunbond and Meltblown Nonwovens Industry and the 4th Council were held in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. The conference was sponsored by the Spunbonded Nonwovens Branch of the China Industrial Textiles Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as the "China Industry Association"), and supported by ExxonMobil, Berry International Group, Oerlikon (China) Technology Co., Ltd. and Changzhou area spinning and melting equipment manufacturing enterprises.

Li Lingshen summarized the basic situation of the nonwovens industry in the first half of 2019. He said that in the first half of this year, the output of enterprises above designated size in the nonwovens industry increased by 11.41, and the main business income increased by 6.84, but the total profit fell by 5.91; in terms of exports, although the export volume to the United States dropped by 18.66, the total export volume still maintained a growth of 4.04, with a year-on-year growth of 6.88. Although the development of the industry has shown strong resilience, structural adjustment and industrial upgrading, transformation of growth mode, and cultivation of new competitive advantages are also urgent tasks for the industry in the future. The industry needs to develop around the five development concepts and continue to develop in the direction of improving quality, efficiency and greening products.

He pointed out that in 2018, the operation quality of my country's spunbond industry has steadily improved, and the industrial structure has been further optimized. The total output of spun nonwoven fabrics reached 3.02 million tons, an increase of 5.38 year-on-year. The growth rate is in line with the macro situation and development expectations.
