The rise of e-commerce, the increase in global environmental awareness, the growth of the chemical fiber industry in mainland China, and the Sino-US trade war have encouraged the formation of emerging supply chains in Southeast Asia. The rise of e-commerce, the increase in global environmental awareness, the growth of the chemical fiber industry in mainland China, and the Sino-US trade war have encouraged the formation of emerging supply chains in Southeast Asia. Since 1950, Taiwan's textile industry has entered the fourth industrial evolution and transformation after three great leaps in natural fiber, man-made fiber dyeing and printing technology and functional fabrics!
Including Wu Dongsheng, chairman of New Fiber, and Zhou Liping, chairman of Juyang, domestic upstream and downstream leading manufacturers all believe that the research and development innovation and rapid reflection of environmentally friendly textile fibers, a small number of diverse order receiving modes, and one-stop and differentiated production of upstream and downstream will be the basis for Taiwan's textile fiber industry to compete in the global market and survive and grow in the future.
Turning over the evolutionary history of Taiwan's textile industry, every previous leap of Taiwan's textile fiber factory has turned over the textile industry and its supply chain, and brought substantial growth in output value to the industry; at present, Taiwan's functional fabric technology, which is the leader in the global textile industry, is becoming more and more mature. Although it still occupies a leading position in the global market, after ten years, it has gradually faced the Red Sea competition from mainland and Southeast Asian manufacturers.
Taiwan has advantages in the supply chain of environmental protection yarn and fiber. It has been sharpening its sword for ten years. The new ocean yarn and new fiber environmental protection yarn from the far east in China have been designated suppliers of global brand clothing manufacturers such as NIKE, ADIDAS and THREAD. In recent years, Taiwan has successively cooperated with Taiwan textile fiber factories and has even provided them for World Football and Olympic competitions.
With the rise of e-commerce, brand factories such as NIKE and ADIDAS have been seeking cooperation with network channels. At the same time, in order to maintain growth momentum, they must continue to enrich product diversity, improve response speed to changes in downstream demand, and continue to require their suppliers to increase items and shorten delivery time. Network channel operators such as AMAZON set up their own brands to invest in the e-commerce market. Taiwan's textile fiber supply chain has enough strength to cope with the fast, ruthless and accurate ordering mode of e-commerce, adjust the organizational structure and strengthen the production process. I believe it can lead the way again.
In the face of low-price competition in mainland China and emerging markets in Southeast Asia, the upstream and downstream one-stop and differentiated production mode is one of the blue ocean strategies of domestic textile fiber factories. In order to strive for more fast fashion, personalized and customized e-commerce and high-value market opportunities, domestic textile fiber factories have carried out one-stop production and expanded composite yarn and high-functional yarn varieties, to meet the demand of downstream plants for "diverse and small" products.
Differentiation is the niche of global competition. In the past two or three years, domestic textile fiber factories have successively introduced and applied textile fiber materials in the field of 3C products, steam materials, medical treatment, long-term photos, and even food grade, all of which show that the domestic textile fiber industry is carrying out another wave of industrial transformation and has taken Taiwan's own road in the increasingly competitive global textile market.
