Since last week, international oil prices have bottomed out and rebounded slightly. At the same time, under the support of upstream PX maintenance, the price of PTA has risen sharply, and polyester filament has also ushered in a wave of three consecutive rises. So, will the fabric rally continue?
Rising cost of weaving enterprises
For downstream textile traders, the rising prices of raw materials and fabrics after the year have brought a certain impact to downstream customers. First of all, every year after the Spring Festival polyester filament will usher in a certain degree of rise. Due to the uncertainty of the market after the year, most weaving enterprises will carefully stock up before the year, so they can only be forced to use high-priced raw materials after the year, resulting in rising fabric costs. In the context of rising raw materials, fabric costs are rising. A fabric trader revealed that the rise in the price of gray cloth led to a decline in fabric profits.
High season gray cloth was "thrown"
For weaving enterprises, if the price of raw materials continues to rise in the future, the gray cloth produced by high-priced raw materials will also become relatively low-priced fabrics, but if the rally ends and the price of raw materials falls, such fabrics will be locked up at a high level. At present, the downstream terminal of the textile market has not seen a substantial improvement, and the price increase driven by cost alone is difficult to sustain. The market can only enhance the liquidity of gray cloth by selling goods. Although it is the traditional March peak season, the prices of gray fabrics of many specifications have fallen again, inspiring traders to stock up. A weaving enterprise boss also said that only through price cuts to stimulate market liquidity.
Last week's statistics show that the current polyester filament is facing the dilemma of high cost and low demand, polyester filament load has been more than 80%, and the news of polyester production is also frequent, then the trend of polyester will be how? And the current false demand and how long can support the market?
