China's textile international standard consistency of more than 95%

The State Administration of Market Supervision (Standards Committee) recently released the "China Standardization Development Annual Report (2020)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Report"). The report shows that China's textile and garment standardization work has achieved remarkable results. China's textiles, footwear and other key areas of international standards to accelerate the pace of transformation, and the degree of consistency with international standards of more than 95%.

Under the double-cycle development pattern, standardization work in key areas represented by textiles and clothing has strongly contributed to economic and social development.
According to the report, the release of standardization policy documents such as the pilot action plan for additive manufacturing standards (2020-2022) and the national guide for the construction of a new generation of artificial intelligence standard system, as well as the publicity and implementation of key standards for export to domestic sales around the key areas of export trade such as textile and clothing and footwear products, have further consolidated the standardization work in consumer goods and other fields.
The "Report" pointed out that the first batch of 29 national consumer product standardization pilot projects, including textiles and clothing, passed the acceptance, innovated the consumer product standard supply system, and explored a new model for the implementation of consumer product standards.
The "Report" shows that the supporting and leading role of my country's textile and apparel standardization work has become increasingly prominent, and the demand is increasing. Especially in the prevention and control of the epidemic and the resumption of production, the performance is outstanding.
Among them, the national standard of "Technical Specification for Children's Masks" related to the textile and clothing field ensures children's health and safety. The timely release of the foreign language version of 37 national standards for epidemic protection, such as the Technical Requirements for Medical Protective Masks, has enhanced foreign trade exports and helped foreign aid.
In terms of information sharing of domestic and foreign standards, a core expert group was set up to compare and analyze more than 440 relevant standards at home and abroad around 10 categories of products such as masks, protective clothing and gloves, and to complete the comparison and analysis of relevant standards for key epidemic prevention products in China, Europe and China and Russia, providing guidance for the emergency import of foreign protective materials, the production of protective products by export enterprises and the selection of protective products in emergency situations.
