 On December 19, the second four-year enlarged meeting of the Special Textiles Branch of the China Industrial Textiles Industry Association (2019 Annual Meeting) was held in Beijing Capital Hotel. This meeting summarized the work of the branch in 2019, discussed key issues in the industry, carried out national military standardization training, conducted special research on the test and evaluation of individual protection, and held a working meeting of the vice president of the branch. 01 Work Report Summarizes Annual Key Work

President Wang Xuguang made the annual work report on behalf of the branch. 2019 is the year of implementation of the in-depth development of military-civilian integration, a year of great development of the military-civilian integration industry, the continuous release of military order demand, the concentrated outbreak of new opportunities, the special textile industry is also the fastest growing year. Many member units of the branch participated in the military parade on the 70th anniversary of the National Day, demonstrating the elegant demeanour and development achievements of the industry. The branch strengthens the communication between member units and provides information services through WeChat groups, WeChat public numbers and other means. The branch actively expands its members and improves the influence and service coverage of the industry. The branch organizes enterprises to actively participate in various important military-civilian integration activities sponsored by the China Textile Federation and the China Industry Association, for example, participating in the key consulting project of the Chinese Academy of Engineering "Research on the Development Strategy of my country's Textile Industry Military-civilian Integration", organizing enterprises to participate in the compilation of the "2019 Textile Military-civilian Dual-use Products and Technologies Catalog", and organizing enterprises to declare "China Textile Union Military-civilian Dual-use Technology Innovation Achievements"; Organize and hold a seminar on "Research Progress of Absorbing Electromagnetic Shielding Flexible Composite Materials" to assist in organizing the 2019 the development forum; the "team comprehensive support working group" of the branch participates in the formulation and examination of relevant military and industrial standards, and does a good job in demand matching services around the construction of military and public security equipment.
Regarding the work of the branch in 2020, Wang Xuguang said that he would continue to do a good job in daily contact services, strengthen information exchange and close cooperation among units in the special textile industry chain, organize 1-2 special forums for hot spots in the industry, build an information service platform for the special textile industry, and strengthen demand docking in key areas.
Wang Huaping, Xia Qianjun, Ke Yonghui and Ma Jinfang, vice presidents of the branch, introduced the development of their respective business fields and their views on the special textile industry at the meeting. The four vice presidents believe that with the continuous release of military needs and the deepening of military-civilian integration, whether it is military logistics, individual protection or equipment supporting fields, the textile industry is facing huge development opportunities. Enterprises should seize the opportunity, accurately understand the demand, carefully organize R & D and production, and serve the construction of national defense army with the best products.

With the development of special textiles and the expansion of the influence of the branch, a number of enterprises have taken the initiative to join the branch of special textiles. With the approval and nomination of the leaders of the association and the voting of member enterprises, 12 director units and 2 vice president units were added to the meeting.
Through this co-election, the number of members of the branch has reached 100, and the structure of the members has become more reasonable, forming a complete industry chain from fibers, equipment, fabrics to finished products, with enterprises as the main body and the participation of key universities, research institutions and demand units.

03 Leaders encourage high-quality development of the industry

In his speech, Shi Meiwu, a distinguished expert of the branch and a professor-level senior engineer of the Institute of Quartermaster Engineering and Technology of the Academy of Military Sciences, put forward five suggestions for the work of textile specialty products: the application of major 1. research and development projects must pay attention to cooperation with universities, and the new concepts and technologies must be clearly stated in the road map; 2. must pay close attention to the needs and use the latest textile technology to help national defense construction; 3. the development of the new materials industry, to study the application of new materials in military supplies and equipment; 4. should pay attention to the structural problems of textile materials, make up for the differences in performance with the innovation of material structure, and reduce costs; the design of 5. products should be close to the actual combat needs of soldiers, and various performance indicators should be balanced.
In his speech, Sun Jinliang, consultant of the branch and academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering, reviewed the history of textile and military industry supporting work, affirmed the role of the branch in the docking of textile and military industry production and demand and supply chain cooperation, and encouraged everyone to continue to work hard and contribute to the development of special textile industry.
In his speech, President Li Lingshen affirmed the work done by the branch in the past year, and put forward five requirements for the work of the specialty branch and the development of the industry: the 1. should strengthen the docking with the demand units, and improve the demand production mechanism of special textiles at a higher level; 2. should enrich the innovation resources of the industry, Build key laboratories, technology centers, testing centers, information platforms, etc., and realize the sharing of innovation resources; 3. should strengthen the special scientific and technological innovation project of the special textile industry, sort out the technical system of the industry with the help of the key consulting projects of the Chinese Academy of engineering; 4. should actively participate in the comprehensive standardization work of textile military civilian integration; 5. organize and carry out the release and promotion of dual-use technology demonstration enterprises, and display and publicize the outstanding enterprises in the industry on a larger platform.

04 Professional reports focus on industry needs and standardization

In the special report session of the meeting, the branch invited sun xiaopong, a member of the army's individual system expert advisory group, and Zhai fuming, president of Huaxia special textile (Beijing) new materials research institute co., ltd., to explain the requirements of special operations for equipment construction and the requirements of the development of military supplies for the textile industry respectively.
The afternoon meeting invited relevant experts to do textile national military standardization training. Experts from the Institute of chemical defense of the Academy of Military Sciences, Beijing Bangweigaoke Textile Co., Ltd. and Tianjin University of Technology made special reports on the test and evaluation of the protective performance of nuclear radiation protection materials, the wear resistance test and evaluation of individual protective materials, and the comprehensive performance test and evaluation of soldier protective equipment.

05 Vice President Working Meeting Analyzes Relevant Policies

During the annual meeting, the branch also held a working meeting of vice presidents, inviting leaders of relevant ministries and commissions to interpret the policies, supervision and channel system of military industry for everyone.
The one-day annual meeting was successfully concluded. The representatives of participating companies expressed satisfaction with the organization of the China Federation of Special Products Branch, and hoped that the branch would do better and better work and provide better services to member units.
