Founded in 2014, Viet Sing International Manufacturing and Trading Limited is part of the DNDBrothers Group, which was founded by DangDung Nguyen, who is the chairman of the group's board of directors. Viet Sing specializes in the production and sale of sanitary products, including baby diapers, adult diapers and women's sanitary napkins.
As a member of the Health Investment and Consumer Goods Group, the Vietnamese company has a strong position to ensure hygienic and reliable production processes. Customer satisfaction is getting higher and higher, and the demand for Viet Sing diapers is also increasing. Therefore, the company is facing a major challenge and urgently needs to improve the production and packaging capacity of "Jo" brand baby pull-up pants from S to XXL sizes.
The growing demand for Viet Sing is no accident. According to expert estimates from Euromonitor International (Euromonitor International), the Vietnamese diaper market has grown at a double-digit rate every year for the past few years and has doubled in size since 2013. This makes Vietnam one of the largest markets for baby diapers in the ASEAN region, and its growth rate is still higher than the average figure for the region.
In order to increase production capacity, the company invested in advanced technical equipment in Germany: Optima Nonwovens baby pants packaging machine OPTIMADS1. The equipment was installed and delivered 2 months after the order was issued, the operation was very stable, and the labor cost was reduced by 50%.
Increase productivity without significantly increasing labor costs
In order to maintain the competitiveness of enterprises, it is necessary to increase production capacity without significantly increasing labor costs. And in no case can affect the quality of the packaging.
Until then, VietSing have been using semi-automated packaging machines. The packaging bag of the product is put into the sealing machine by the operator. This manual process is the bottleneck of the enterprise's urgent need to improve production capacity. In addition, the increase in production will lead to a corresponding increase in labor costs. In order to find equipment that can achieve higher production efficiency, VietSing evaluated several suppliers. For Viet Sing, it is not only this that is good, but also Optima's significantly increased manpower investment in Asia in recent years. The largest field service team in the entire enterprise came from Optima China-they were involved in completing the entire Viet Sing project.
Stacking and bagging all-in-one machine for processing diapers
Viet Sing chose OPTIMADS1, which is a set of packaging equipment with reasonable price, small footprint and flexible use. This full-automatic diaper packaging equipment can be used for prefabricated bag filling, and can also be equipped with bag making machine for Asian bag packaging. The OPTIMADS1 can operate synchronously with the production equipment, and can feed up to 600 pieces of products per minute, with a production capacity of 50 packs per minute.
Viet Sing's project delivery time was challenging. It was only six months planned from the first contact to the delivery of the equipment-that's what the Vietnamese plant was expecting.
OptimaNonwovens accepted the challenge and successfully completed the task. Viet Sing placed an order in November, and the equipment left its headquarters in Swabenhal, Germany, at the end of January 2019-a new record for Optima.
The number of operating employees was halved, and the factory's production capacity increased OPTIMADS1. Only 2 days after arriving at Viet Sing, the company began to accept the products output from the production equipment and put them into packaging production smoothly. Nguyen Duc Vinh, director of Viet Sing, is very satisfied with the good operating stability of the equipment and the significantly increased productivity. "After using the OPTIMADS1, we only need half the number of operators." Vinh praised it so much and made it clear: "This not only reduces our labor costs, but also increases factory capacity."

The director is now convinced that the current project is the beginning of a long-term collaboration between Viet Sing and Optima. "Our goal is to establish a fully automatic production line." Vinh said so. The company will soon consider buying more fully automatic packaging machines. "If the OPTIMADS1 continues to run steadily and smoothly for the next 3 to 4 months, we will order packaging machines for the rest of the baby and adult diaper product lines." Vinh said.
