Madagascar textile industry faces new opportunities

Madagascar's "News" reported on October 28 that Ismail (SalimIsmail), president of Sokoda (Socota) Group, a leading textile company in Malaysia, recently stated that Malaysia has every opportunity to become a suitable foothold for the global textile industry. At present, the Chinese and Asian markets are generally experiencing rising production costs, which provides opportunities for the horse textile industry.

The Sokoda Group is an export-oriented company and has been a regular supplier to three of the world's leading textile products distributors since 2016. The group has been active in the US market in recent years, becoming a partner of several US brands.

In order to gain a foothold in the international market, the textile industry still faces many challenges. Ismail suggested that the current primary goal is to attract investors who can create jobs. To this end, the government and the private sector should work together to predict the problems that enterprises may encounter in Malaysia.

At present, the Malaysian government and enterprises have launched relevant exchange mechanisms, and senior officials of the Sokoda Group will hold talks with government officials this week to discuss the current difficulties faced by enterprises.
