Fujian exports clothing, yarn growth in the first 4 months of good

Recently, the reporter learned from Quanzhou Customs that from January to April, the total import and export value of Quanzhou was 59.153 billion billion yuan (RMB), an increase of 11.99 percent over the same period last year, while the growth rates of the whole country and Fujian Province were 4.3 percent and 5.86 percent, respectively. Quanzhou's growth rate was 7.69 and 6.13 percentage points higher than the average level of the whole country and Fujian Province, respectively. Among them, exports were 39.065 billion billion yuan, an increase of 18.21 percent over the same period last year. The growth rate of Quanzhou was 1.31 percentage points lower than the national average and 2.49 percentage points higher than the average of Fujian Province. Quanzhou's trade surplus was 18.977 billion yuan, an increase of 42.96.

Among them, Quanzhou's import and export to countries along the "Belt and Road" was 28.497 billion billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.22 percent, accounting for 48.18 percent of the total foreign trade value. Among them, exports were 15.687 billion billion yuan, up 26.77 percent year-on-year, accounting for 40.16 percent of the total export value. Imports were 12.809 billion billion yuan, up 0.11 percent year-on-year, accounting for 63.76 percent of the total import value. In particular, the total value of imports and exports to Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and Russia reached 19.882 billion billion yuan, up -0.04 per cent, 17.73 per cent, 52.4 per cent, 97.34 per cent and 14.26 per cent respectively, accounting for 33.61 per cent of the total value of foreign trade.

It is worth mentioning that in terms of Quanzhou's exports of major products, the exports of countries along the "Belt and Road" have achieved gratifying results. From January to April, Quanzhou exported seven categories of traditional labor-intensive products, including textiles, clothing, furniture, bags, footwear, plastic products, and toys, 24.736 billion billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.18 percent. These seven categories of traditional labor-intensive products were exported to countries along the "Belt and Road" 9.975 billion billion yuan, an increase of 22.33 percent over the same period last year. Among them, textile and clothing exports to countries along the "the belt and road initiative" route were 7.878 billion yuan, up 11.55 percent; footwear exports to countries along the "the belt and road initiative" route were 1.46 billion yuan, up 100.06 percent; luggage products were exported to countries along the "the belt and road initiative" route in 0.293 billion yuan, up 74.03 percent; plastic products were exported to countries along the "the belt and road initiative" route in 0.207 billion yuan, up 101.18 percent; furniture products were exported to 0.097 billion yuan, growth of 22.5; toy products exported to countries along the "Belt and Road" 0.039 billion yuan, a substantial increase of 269.81.
