4On March 23-25, the 2019 National Textile Standardization Technical Committee Industrial Textiles Branch Annual Meeting and Standard Approval Meeting was held in Xiamen. Nearly 80 members of the industrial sub-standard committee, observers and enterprise representatives attended the meeting. Li Lingshen, vice president of China Textile Federation, president of middle class association and chairman of industrial sub standard committee, delivered a speech on the overall development of the industry, future development thinking and development ideas of standardization work. He pointed out that standards are the extension of technological innovation and the driving force for the development of the industry. Standardization should be used to promote high-level, high-quality construction and innovative development of the industry. At the meeting, the secretariat of the Sub-standard Committee made a work report for 2018 and put forward a work plan for 2019. In recognition of advanced units and individuals in standardization work in 2018, observers of the Sub-standard Committee were added.

At the meeting, the national standard "Disposability Test Method and Evaluation of Disposable Hygienic Nonwoven Materials" and the industry standard "Bamboo Charcoal Viscose Fiber Nonwovens for Mask" passed the expert review.

The standard of "Disposable Test Method and Evaluation of Disposable Hygienic Nonwoven Materials" is a test method for the flushability of nonwoven materials, including 7 test methods. Only when all 7 tests pass, does it show that the nonwoven material has flushability. The flushable and degradable properties of flushable nonwoven materials can reduce environmental pollution, and can be used for dry/wet wipes, beauty care products, etc., which is the development direction of disposable sanitary nonwoven materials. As a test method standard, this standard is highly in line with the relevant test methods currently used abroad, and has more stringent evaluation requirements for hedge dispersion performance. The formulation of this standard is of great significance to the development of the flushable nonwoven material industry.
