2019 Ecuador textile industry situation is good

Ecuador's "Business Daily" reported on April 9 that the 2019 Ecuador Textile Exhibition was held in Guayaquil a few days ago, with about 100 industry companies participating. The target turnover of this year's exhibition is 13 million US dollars.

Dias, chairman of the Eritrean Textile Industry Association, said that in 2018, the sales of the Eritrean textile industry were nearly 0.8 billion US dollars. In 2019, the situation of the textile industry in Eritrea is improving, and sales are expected to increase by 7%-10%. Affected by the economic situation and other factors, the textile industry is facing uncertainty in the first quarter of this year. Historically, the performance of the textile industry in the first quarter of each year is generally sluggish.

About 20%-25% of Eritrean textiles are exported to foreign countries every year, mainly to Latin American and American markets. From January to February this year, Eritrea's textile exports increased compared with the same period last year.
