Statistics show that in 2018, China's diaper market sales reached 51 billion yuan. Experts at the meeting said that the quality standards of my country's diaper industry are slightly broader in terms of safety and performance indicators, and cannot meet the needs of different consumers for the differentiation of sanitary products.

Zheng Haobin, director of the China Health Security (Beijing) Certification Center, introduced that sanitary products such as medical-care standard diapers refer to products whose hygiene and safety indicators and other characteristics are higher than those of ordinary products. They are suitable for occasions and people with high nursing requirements, and have more stringent hygiene indicators, more stringent performance indicators, and more detailed safety standards.

Taking baby diapers as an example, compared with the national standard GB 15979-2002, the total number of bacterial colonies is strictly 5 times, the total number of fungal colonies is stipulated as "no detection", and the types of pathogenic bacteria are doubled. Compared with the national standard GB/T 28004-2011, in terms of performance indicators, 3 indicators have been greatly improved and 4 absorption performance indicators have been added, highlighting the application performance of diapers. From the perspective of safety indicators, 17 safety indicators have been added, including heavy metal content, plasticizer content, formaldehyde and mobile fluorescent whitening agent.

Zheng Haobin said that as of the end of 2018, 17 domestic companies have applied for medical-level standard certification and launched medical-level standard sanitary products. At present, the China Health Security (Beijing) Certification Center has undertaken the CNCA certification and accreditation technology support program projects, including child rehabilitation management, primary medical institution service certification research and development, medical care combined with pension certification technology research and development, through technology research and development, standard formulation, to promote enterprises to further improve product quality and service quality.
