The biennial Frankfurt Industrial Textiles and Nonwovens Exhibition (Techtextil) and Textile and Flexible Materials Processing Trade Exhibition (Texprocess) will be held at the Frankfurt Exhibition Center from May 14 to 17.

According to the organizers of the exhibition, this year's two exhibitions will focus on the theme of "urban life" and pay close attention to the sustainable development of the industry. As of the latest statistics, the number of exhibitors at this year's Techtextil exhibition has exceeded the level of the previous period. The two exhibitions will bring the latest global related technology research and development results to the audience, and cover the application of textiles in all application fields, forming a more obvious collaborative innovation and communication effect in the global textile industry.

Techtextil Exhibition: Theme Aiming at Future City Life 

According to the organizers, the theme of this year's Techtextil exhibition is "city life-the city of the future". As the leading professional trade show in the global industrial textiles industry, the exhibition will bring the latest international industrial and nonwoven technologies, products and applications in related fields, and show the audience how industrial textiles shape urban life from multiple fields.

According to a study by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, by 2050, almost 70% of the world's population will live in metropolises, which will bring new challenges to the concept of life and mobility, food supply, and health services. Functional clothing, such as smart clothing, will play a more important role in people's daily lives in the future. Therefore, this year's exhibition will provide textile solutions around the future of urban life, showing relevant application results and cases. At the same time, this year's Techtextil exhibition cooperates with the Dutch creative industry agency "Creative Holland (Creative Holland)" to provide a display space for the life of the future city through the special event "Urban Life-Future City.

Exhibition highlights: covering the whole field of the latest applications

This year's Techtextil exhibition will bring the audience a full range of exhibits on industrial textiles and nonwovens. It is worth noting that the number of suppliers in the field of technology, fibers and yarns has increased significantly; suppliers of woven fabrics, coated fabrics and functional clothing fabrics have also exhibited strongly, covering all application areas of textile materials. In particular, exhibitors from the fields of architecture and engineering, fashion and clothing, automotive, aerospace, medical, sports, and hazard protection will bring a more comprehensive product range than ever before.

Techtextil Forum: Providing an Open Exchange Platform 

During the four-day exhibition, TechTextil exhibition will provide a new form of lecture and interactive communication platform for the audience. Instead of the previous exhibition forum, the new format forum will be located in Hall 4.1 and open to all professional audiences free of charge. The forum will cover the following topics: sustainability, digital transformation, smart textiles, urban textiles, composite materials, and industrial textiles for the medical field. In addition, the Dornbein Global Fiber Conference (GFC) and the Textile Technology Center of the German Textile and Fashion Industry Association will host the thematic sections of the forum.

Texprocess: Focus on Sustainable Development 

As the world's leading trade fair for textile and flexible materials processing, Texprocess exhibits will cover all cutting-edge technologies in textile and garment processing.

Sustainability is the core theme of the Techtextil and Texprocess exhibitions this year. For the first time this year, the two exhibitions will jointly showcase the sustainability efforts of exhibitors. The Techtextil and Texprocess Innovation Award will be awarded to sustainable textile innovation and processing methods. In addition, Texprocess forum will set up an exclusive theme section around the topic of sustainability of the textile and fashion industry.

The 4.1 pavilion will serve as a mixed exhibition hall for both Techtextil and Texprocess, and will fully demonstrate the advanced textile supply chain production process from raw materials to finished products. This includes not only the digital micro factory of the Texprocess exhibition, but also the functional textiles and clothing in the field of industrial textiles at the Techtextil exhibition.

The "Digital Textile Micro Factory" exhibition area in the museum will continue to be the highlight of the Texprocess exhibition. With the support of the German Textile Fiber Research Institute, the exhibition area displays three raw materials consisting of fashion, 3D knitted uppers and industrial textiles.production line, demonstrating an integrated textile production supply chain.

The synergistic effect of the two exhibitions will be more prominent. 

At the last exhibition held in May 2017, Techtextil and Texprocess exhibitions were exhibited at the same time, forming a good synergy effect. A total of 1477 exhibitors from 55 countries participated in the Techtextil exhibition, attracting more than 40000 professional visitors from more than 100 countries and regions. A total of 312 exhibitors from 35 countries participated in the Texprocess exhibition, attracting more than 25000 professional visitors from more than 100 countries. All market leaders in this field were present. The exhibition provides high-tech textile solutions for textiles in a full range of applications in many fields, and has become the most extensive and internationally influential professional exhibition in this field.
