November China's textile industry export growth fell, the cumulative export growth

Since the beginning of this year, China's monthly export growth of textiles and clothing has fallen rapidly after reaching a high of 12% in September. In November, dragged down by the decline in clothing exports, the overall export of China's textile industry again showed negative growth.

According to data released by China Customs, in U.S. dollars, textile and clothing exports in November were 23.05 billion U.S. dollars, a slight decrease of 0.3 percent year-on-year (the same below). Of this total, textile exports were $10.31 billion, up 3.2 per cent, while clothing exports were $12.74 billion, down 3 per cent. From January to November, the cumulative export of textiles and clothing was 253.96 billion US dollars, an increase of 4.4 percent, of which textile exports were 109.3 billion US dollars, an increase of 9.3 percent, and clothing exports were 144.66 billion US dollars, an increase of 0.9 percent.

In terms of RMB, exports reached 159.17 billion yuan in November, up 4.4 percent. Among them, textile exports were 71.19 billion yuan, up 8.1 percent, and clothing exports were 87.98 billion yuan, up 1.6 percent. From January to November, exports totaled 1668.36 billion yuan, up 0.9 percent, of which textile exports totaled 717.11 billion yuan, up 5.5 percent, and clothing exports totaled 951.25 billion yuan, down 2.3 percent. Whether in US dollars or RMB, the cumulative growth rate of China's textile and clothing exports is lower than the overall national export level.
